So, here comes the New York Times, having proven itself to be an unreliable source of news and alleges that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has been accused of suggesting that he wear a wire to surreptitiously tape the President and that he move to gather support to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove Trump as being unfit to serve.
The reaction from Deputy Rod seems to range from I didn’t do it to it was all a big joke. I guess that over the last 75 years I’ve lost my sense of humor.
So now, the craziness has shifted into high gear with some alleging that this is a setup by the Times to induce Trump to fire Deputy Rod which will result in a political firestorm against Trump. I don’t agree with that assessment, but, that’s neither here nor there. If Trump doesn’t fire him what should be done is for Rosenstein to resign or recuse himself of anything pertaining to the Russia probe including investigation of the FISA warrants, the Dossier, etc. until the truth is established.
This will not happen as it would cause Mr. Rosenstein to lose control over those things which might eventually send him to jail.
